  1. Saddened to hear about Chuck. He and Bob helped build our house. I knew him since he was a kid. We both went to St. Mary’s school. And all Barton boys knew each other back then.

As a Cub Scout, meetings were at Chuck’s house since his mom was a den mother.

Being three years younger than I and a good distance for our house, I didn’t hang around with Chuck much, but he was always a good guy.

    He will be missed.

  2. I am greatly saddened to hear of Chuck’s passing. We grew up together up in Barton across from the Barton Park. I knew the entire family, spent many days with Chuck (and Pat once in great moon!) playing around the yard etc watching the circus when it came just across the street with real elephants, BIG TOP, Ferris wheel and all. We went to Barton kindergarten together (have a picture of Chuck and I standing at the entrance together with some of our other classmates). We also went to St.Mary’s school together, same High School (West Bend East-graduated 1973), I also was a Cub Scout and had Chucks mother, Lucille as our Den 3 Cub leader. I remember riding in a big flatbed truck once with Chuck and his Father for a short ride around, don’t remember where now! I remember all the airplane models and comic books Chuck had. We would camp out once in a while in their huge yard in this great big Army tent, it was all huge to me as I was a bit smaller back then 🙂 ! I remember going into their house on a hot summer days and Chucks mom would offer us an orange Popsicle to cool off. A few others hung around Chuck and I also in the neighborhood. Jim Duenkel, Kenneth Ruplinger, and a few others in the area now and then. Chuck was always friendly and kind, taller then I so I literally looked up to him, he was always very practical with things. Brings back many other memories I’d like to add here but just would like to end it here by saying, God Bless you Chuck, I know you’re in God’s great hand!
