Jan. 25, 2019 – Germantown, WI – Edward Andritsch, age 93 of Germantown, Wisconsin passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the Cedar Lake Community in West Bend, WI, surrounded by his loving family.
Edward was born April 1, 1925 in Austria to Frank and Marie Andritsch. He was united in marriage to Betty Wikkink on July 5, 1947 Milwaukee, WI. Edward served in the United States Navy during WWII. He then worked as a meat cutter at A & P grocery stores for over 40 years. Edward enjoyed wood working, listening to music, gardening, cooking, and studying history and geography.
Edward is survived by his beloved wife of 71 years, Betty; loving children, Daniel, Kathleen Moede, William (Ladonna), David (Nancy), Brian (Nancy), and Diane (Richard) Saari; grandchildren, Paul, Troy (Stephanie) Jason, Aaron (Deanna), Leeann (John), Rebecca (Shawn), Renee, Christopher (Sarah), Eric (Rebekah), James, Jamie, Jennifer, and Tracy (Adam); great-grandchildren, Aubrianna, Justin, Alena, Logan, Ava, Tristan, Noah, Blaise, Conner, Parker, Mason, Lucas, Grace, and Ryan. Sister Mary Andritsch and brother-in-law Leon Chernos. He is further survived by other dear relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son-in-law Gene Moede, and great-granddaughter Naomi.
Funeral Services for Edward will be held Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 12:00 noon at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union Street Hartford, WI 53027). Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m.-11:45 p.m. Interment in Southern WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
