Obituary | Elaine E. Key, 81, of Hartford

August 8, 2019 – Hartford, WI –Elaine E. Key (nee Kadolph), 81, of Hartford, Wisconsin passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 7, 2019 in Pewaukee, WI surrounded by her loving family.

Elaine was born December 9, 1937 in Mayville, WI to Verona A. (nee Gentz) and Armund A. Kadolph. She was united in marriage to Edmund W. Key on January 30, 1959 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Huilsburg, WI. She worked for Schultz Bros. Dime Store in downtown Hartford and in the circulation department at what is now the Hartford Times Press, for many years. She was a long-time member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford. Elaine loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. In her earlier years, she enjoyed gardening, canning, and crocheting.

Elaine is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Edmund; loving children, Jeff (Lynn) of Brookfield, Bruce (Karen) of Green Bay, and Kevin (Audrey) of West Allis; cherished grandchildren, Jennifer and Gregg Wilke, Justin (Sarah), Samantha, and Rex Key; dear brother, Ronald (Judy) Kadolph of Rubicon and dear sisters-in-law, Diane Witte and Katherine Kadolph. She is further survived by many other loved relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lloyd Kadolph; and several siblings-in-law.

Funeral Services for Elaine will be held Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church (1001 Center Street Hartford, WI 53027) with Rev. Robert Pasbrig officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. – 11:50 a.m. Interment to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.

In lieu of flowers contributions in memory of Elaine to The Alzheimer’s Association-Wisconsin Chapter or to Peace Lutheran Church are sincerely appreciated.
