Jan. 27, 2019 – West Bend, WI – Jean M. Krell, nee Lehn, of West Bend died on Friday, January 25, 2019 at The Kathy Hospice at the age of 73 years.
She was born on June 23, 1945 in West Bend to the late Harvey and Mary (nee Kaiser) Lehn.
She attended local schools, graduating from West Bend High School with the Class of 1963.
In the early 1970s, she began working at the West Bend Company. She worked as an executive assistant to the company president and vice president, retiring in 1995.
For many years, she was a devoted and faithful volunteer for area organizations. She accumulated more than 5000 hours with the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary, and also with the Interfaith Caregivers of Washington County.
She loved to garden and as an avid reader, was a welcomed patron of the West Bend Community Memorial Library.
Survivors include her children: Timothy (Sarah Ingle) Krell of West Bend, Kerry Krell of Bristol, WI; grandson Brodie Krell of West Bend; 2 sisters Linda (Guy Pearson) Sheehan of West Bend and Chris Lehn; nephew Jeremy Lehn; other relatives and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Ellis on February 12, 2016 and her beloved dog Schatzie.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 31 at 6 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home, West Bend, with Rev. Patrick Heppe officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends during a period of visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4 until 5:45 p.m.
