He was born in Milwaukee, the son of the late Ralph C. and Marcella A. (nee Bunzel) Banse. Marv grew up in Glendale, WI, attended Nicolet High School and was a proud United States Army Veteran. He married the love of his life, Susan L. (nee Hinrichs) Banse on October 31, 1970. Marv was the Owner/Operator of Marv’s Grading for many years and a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Slinger.

Marv enjoyed fishing, hunting, bird watching, and going up north to the lake house. He loved to ride his Harley and the work he did as an excavator kept him happy. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.

Loving husband of Susan for 51 years. Cherished dad of Julie (Dan) deSnoo, and Holly (Todd) Roskopf. Proud grandpa of Brogan and Evan deSnoo, and Jase and Joshua Roskopf. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, as well as other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Raymond Banse.

A special thank you to Jeffrey Frank who was like a son to Marv, but is also an integral part of Marv’s Grading. Jeff stepped up to run the business through Marv’s health struggles

A private visitation and service will be held. Memorial in Marv’s name to the American Legion Post No. 1 in Germantown would be appreciated.
