Jan. 2, 2019 – Kewaskum, WI – Myron C. Prost, 87, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 31, 2018 at the Aurora Medical Center of Washington County. He was born on May 22, 1931 in the Town of Kewaskum to Clarence and Louise (nee Abel) Prost.
Myron served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He married his love, Ellen (nee Kluever) Prost on August 2, 1958 at Holy Angels Catholic Church in West Bend. Myron worked and retired from the Washington County Highway Deptartment. Myron was a member of the West Bend Moose Lodge #1398. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, going for walks, gardening, puzzles, playing cards and watching the Packers.
Myron is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Ellen; children, Keith (Rene Peterson), Gail (Ronald Nighbor) Prost of Manitowoc, Sandra (David) Gundrum; grandchildren, Allison, Kathryn and Jessica Gundrum; sister, Bernice (Ronald) Stange and brother, Lloyd Prost. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Myron is preceded in death by his parents, his parents-in-law Lester and Alice Kluever, sister-in-law Carol Prost and his niece Laura Stange.
A Funeral Service will be at 11:30AM on January 7, 2019 at Peace United Church of Christ (343 1st St. Kewaskum, WI 53040) with Pastor Bob Blackburn presiding. Visitation will be at church on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 10:00AM until 11:15AM. Interment will follow at Washington County Memorial Park with Military Honors.
