Obituary | Raymond “Ray” J. Tillmann, 85, of Sugar Camp, WI

February 4, 2021 – Raymond “Ray” J. Tillmann, 82, of Sugar Camp passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 31, 2021.

He was born on November 1, 1938 to the late Raymond and Lucyle (nee Ward) in Milwaukee, WI. Ray grew up in Milwaukee and graduated from Rufus King High School. He honorably served in the United States Marines. On June 20, 1959 he was united in marriage to Nancy Maier in Milwaukee. Ray worked at many jobs over the years, but found his place in Home Improvement Retail and worked at Cedarburg Lumber and Neu’s for many years until retirement. He was a member of the Sugar Camp Lions Club. Ray enjoyed fishing while living up north. Ray liked to watch football and loved to shoot off fireworks for the kids. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Those Ray leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 62 years, Nancy Tillmann; two children, Rick (Angie) Tillmann and Todd (Carol) Tillmann; four grandchildren, Keith Tillmann, Chris Tillmann, Katie (Josh) Rhein, and Emily (Fiancé Tyler) Tillmann; a great grandson; Gabe Rhein; a brother, Wayne (Kris) Tillmann; a brother-in-law, Tom Baer; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant son, Scott and a sister, Gerry Baer.

Due to the current circumstances, a memorial service in remembrance of Ray will be held at a later date, please follow-up for future scheduling.
