Obituary | Richard Frank “Dick” Oppermann, 72, of Slinger

March 12, 2020 – Slinger, WI – Richard F. “Dick” Oppermann passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at the age of 72.

He was born on October 13, 1947 in Milwaukee to Donald and Betty (nee Klever) Oppermann and was raised in Cedar Creek, WI. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School. Dick was the manager of Stuckey’s, drove truck for Protein Express, independent owner/operator truck driver, also drove for Bechtel Trucking and retired from the US Postal Service. His hobbies were gardening, snowmobiling, motorcycling, Christmas decorating, his hobby car, UTV trail riding and spending time on Big Cedar Lake as well as the North Woods of Wisconsin.

Dick is survived by his fiancé Linda O’Malley and her children; Bill, Caitlin and Maggie (Dylan) Graf, his children; Robert (Nicole) Oppermann, Rhonda (Joel) Lindmeyer and Brian Oppermann, his grandchildren; Emma and Clara Oppermann, Derek (Ashley) Oppermann, Kyra, Mackenzie and Sage Lindmeyer and Raven Oppermann, his great-granddaughter Sophie Oppermann, his siblings; Jerry (Jean) and David (Krista) Oppermann, Janet (Jim) Schumacher, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family is having private funeral services for Dick. There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering at the Phillip Funeral Home, 1420 W Paradise Dr. West Bend, on Wednesday, March 18 from 4-7 p.m. Final place of rest will be at St Paul Cemetery in West Bend.

The family would like to thank Dr. Eric Olafsson, his Nurses Roxie and Tabatha and Michelle Oppermann for her support and medical advice.
