Obituary | Vivian M. Brown, 89, of West Bend

She was born on August 31, 1929 to the late James and Margaret (nee Pieser) De Battista in Milwaukee, WI. On November 8, 1947 she was united in marriage to Walter Brown in Placerville, CA. Vivian worked at Blair’s Hardware in Menomonee Falls for many years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crafts. Vivian always took her sewing kit along with her to every wedding she went to, often helping to fix bridesmaids dresses. She loved boating, spending weekends and summers at the Pioneer Marina in Oshkosh. After selling their boat, Vivian and Walt enjoyed traveling, including to their timeshare in Florida each spring and trips to Vegas. She also loved the holidays, especially Christmas, and dressing up in her fancy “bling” clothing she made for New Year’s Eve. The most important thing to her was spending time with her family, her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Those Vivian leaves behind to cherish her memory include her four children, Daniel (Jane) Brown, Kathy (Dick) Dehnel, Craig (Lori) Brown, and Paula (David) Brunmeier; seven grandchildren, Tammy (Ryan) Miller, Jamie (Dana) Brown, Jason (Megan) Brown, Chuck (Lisa) Grubisic, Bailey (Ben) Ronnei, Brian Brunmeier, and Josh Brunmeier; six great grandchildren, with number seven on the way; two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Brown and her eight siblings.

A memorial service in remembrance of Vivian will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at the Myrhum Patten Miller & Kietzer Funeral Home, 1315 W. Washington St., West Bend.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at New Perspective and Compassionate Care Hospice for all their help and care.
