West Bend, WI – William Pollard, age 89, passed away on September 26, 2021, in West Bend.
He was born on November 29, 1931, in Milwaukee to George and Elizabeth (nee Mc Ginnity) Pollard. Bill graduated from Messmer High School, served in the US Air Force and later retired from Schawk Graphics in New Berlin.
On August 17, 1985, Bill married Barbara McCue (nee Haag) in Brookfield. His passions were family, being a sports fan of the Brewers and Packers, coaching, golf, hunting, boating. He was a proud veteran of the Korean Conflict. Bill was a member of St. Frances Cabrini Church and a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Menomonee Falls.
William is survived by his wife Barbara, son Dennis (Kathy), daughter Colleen (Mike) Magolan, daughter Kelly (Jim) Opgenorth, step-son Michael McCue, and his sister Sr. Karen Pollard, grandchildren, David (Kelly) Pollard, Kevin (Kari) Pollard, Beth (Todd) Hartwig, Kyle (Gabrielle) Pollard, Shannon Magolan, Jenessa (Keith Canter) Magolan, Mc Kenon (Nicole) Magolan, Ryan (Allison) Bruskiewicz, Carly (Ryan) Walsh, Sean (Hannah) Bruskiewicz, Ella McCue, Evan McCue, Kate McCue, step-grandsons Greg (Erin) Opgenorth, Matt (Rachel) Opgenorth, great-grandchildren Ruby, Teddy, Joey, Jack, Mia, Abe, Al, Nellie, Kolton, Annie, Beau, Penny, Jack, Ellery and his faithful companion Abbie.
Bill was preceded in death by his first wife Betty Ann (nee Tamer), his parents, brothers, and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 12 at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church (1025 S 7th Ave West Bend, WI 53095) with Fr. Carlos Londono presiding. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until 10:45 am. Final place of rest will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee.
