Obituary | Wilma June Barlow, 76, of West Bend

March 25, 2020 – West Bend, WI – Wilma J. Barlow, 76, of West Bend, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2020. Deeply loved by her family, Church family, and many friends.

Wilma was born March 20, 1944, to the late Bill Adams of Arizona and Pearl Force of California. She married her beloved second husband, the late Bob Barlow, on August 27, 1990.

She joined Bob in heaven as they walked hand in hand, to the foot of the throne of God. She is survived by her three loving daughters, Mary (Tim) Hyatt, Marty Richardson, and Crystal (Paul) Belling. Her granddaughters, Bianca and Crandall. Her great-grandchildren, Harley Mattias and Levi Murphy.

Wilma was the oldest of four girls who love and miss her very much. Linda (Jerry) Harris, Karen (Ralph) Steinlight, and Melodie (Andy) Ohmit. She has many nieces and nephews who love their Aunt Wilma.

Wilma worked many years as an aid for several school districts until 1999. From 2000, she worked as a Caregiver until retirement in February of 2019. She was a member of Bend City Church in West Bend. Wilma was very active in Celebrate Recovery and enjoyed working out at the YMCA from 2005 to 2019.

Her love and faith in God brought her through many struggles in this life. God protected her and supplied her needs in every aspect. One of her favorite Bible verses was ‘For me to live is Christ, but to die is gain’ (Philippians 1:21).

The love and support she received through this journey showed her God’s love, support and compassion. We would like to thank all of the family and friends who touched her life and was there to help her in so many ways. A very special thank you to Bend City Church and Horizon Home Care and Hospice for the diligent and compassionate care through this.

Wilma asked that in lieu of any gifts or flowers, a memorial donation be made to one of the following: Bend City Church (bendcitychurch.org), Horizon Home Care and Hospice (www.horizonhomecareandhospice.org), Cancer Research Center of America (www.cancerresearchamerica.org), or Washington County Humane Society (www.wchspets.org).

A memorial service for Wilma, will be held at Bend City Church, 224 Butternut St, West Bend, WI 53095, at a date to be determined.
