The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department issued the following statement regarding the closure of Hwy D:
Fire crews have been working on a structure fire at the Lake Church Inn Tavern & Grill located in the 600 block of Hwy D in the Town of Belgium since approximately 5:37 p.m. Highway D at Lake Church Rd. is expected to remain closed throughout the night and into the morning. Please stay clear of this area and use alternate east/west routes of Silver Beach Rd. or Cedar Beach Rd.
