January 24, 2025 – Fond du Lac Co., Wi – On January 24, 2025 at approximately 6:06 p.m. the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received multiple 911 calls about a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in the eastbound lanes of W. Johnson Street near Rolling Meadows Drive, Town of Fond du Lac, Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin.
Deputies from the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office responded and an initial investigation shows an SUV, operated by a 23-year-old male from Fond du Lac, was eastbound in the left lane of W. Johnson Street.
A 67-year-old male from Fond du Lac attempted to cross both eastbound lanes of traffic on foot northbound. The SUV struck the pedestrian.
The pedestrian received serious injuries, and was transported via ambulance to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. The operator of the SUV was not injured.
The driver of the SUV is cooperating with the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
One eastbound lane of W. Johnson Street was closed for approximately one hour. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the City of Fond du Lac Police Department and City of Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue.
