Pedestrian dies after being struck by semi in Sheboygan Co., Wi | By Sgt. Brock Peters

April 12, 2026 – Sheboygan Co., Wi –  On Sunday, April 12, 2026, at approximately 4:12 PM, the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call advising of a semi versus pedestrian crash on Interstate 43 northbound South of Garton Rd, located in the Town of Mosel.

Preliminary investigation indicated that the operator of a Ford Explorer had pulled over to the side of Interstate 43 South of Garton Road. The operator exited his vehicle and was struck by a passing semi tractor trailer that was northbound on Interstate 43.

The operator/victim, a 48-year-old male from Sheboygan, was declared deceased on scene after life saving measures were attempted.

Other public safety resources that assisted on this incident were: Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Wisconsin State Patrol, Orange Cross Ambulance, Howards Grove Fire Department, Haven Fire Department, and Sheboygan County Highway Department.

Names and other details will not be released at this time pending notification of families.
