Names released In pedestrian vs. car accident in neighboring Dodge County | By Sheriff Dale J. Schmidt

August 14, 2023 – Dodge County, WI – On August 11, 2023, at 8:53 p.m., Dodge County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on County Highway A, just south of County Highway AW, in the township of Fox Lake, Dodge County, WI.

Initial investigation shows a 48-year-old male pedestrian from Markesan was walking in the northbound lane of County Highway A when struck by a northbound 2015 Buick Enclave, which was driven by a 67-year-old female from rural Randolph.
The male subject received life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Waupun Memorial Hospital in Waupun. He was subsequently transferred to UW-Hospital in Madison. The female driver was not injured and no passengers were injured.
The male subject was wearing dark clothing on an unlit roadway and strong storms were approaching prior to this crash.
Assisting at the scene were Fox Lake Fire Department, Fox Lake EMS, Fox Lake Police Department, Life Star EMS, and DCERT.

This crash is currently under investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team.

Update

The pedestrian has been identified as Kenneth Clavey of Markesan.  The driver of the Buick has been identified as Susan Boelter of rural Randolph.
