Public information meeting: Landfill testing in West Bend

West Bend, WI – The City of West Bend will be hosting a public informational meeting on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, regarding the ongoing landfill testing results.  The meeting will take place at 6 p.m. at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, 6869 Wildwood Road, West Bend.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

The following groups will have representatives present to provide information and to answer questions:

  • City of West Bend
  • AECOM (City of West Bend’s environmental testing consultants)
  • WI-Department of Natural Resources
  • WI-Department of Health Services
  • Washington/Ozaukee County Department of Health

The City of West Bend is working closely with consultants and state agencies to investigate for impacts related to groundwater contamination from the City’s closed landfill site.

We encourage residents of the Villa Park neighborhood to attend this informational presentation.

  1. We lived at 1000 Villa Park Drive in one of the worst polluted areas,please give more info…..is this a lawsuit or class action issue yet?
    We were never informed before purchasing not told of leaking landfill before purchase???
