May 29, 2026Kewaskum, Wi – St. Lucas Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1420 Parkview Drive in Kewaskum, Wi, is being razed. The dismanteling of the church has been underway the past few months as church pews were removed, along with stained glass and hardwood trim that dates to 1913.

The red brick church was built for over $10,550. The church featured two towers, an arched entryway, and held a capacity of 300 to 400 parishioners.

A new church across the road was built for $5.3 million.

  1. What a beautiful remembrance of St Lucas’ history and of her Glorious life. I was baptized, confirmed and married there. My parents were long time active members and had there funerals there. Time moves on. With the costs of remodeling and maintenance I understand the need to build new. Those steps got to be difficult for the elderly. St Lucas will be part of my memories.
