Jordan Stolz preps for 500m and 1500m skate today following world-record 1000m performance

January 27, 2024 – Kewaskum, WI – Jordan Stolz of Kewaskum is in action again today skating in the 500m and 1500m events at the Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City, Utah. Today’s events come on the heels of a new world-record in the 1000m set Friday afternoon as Stolz crushed his previous best with a time of 1:05,37.

On Saturday Stolz will skate the 1500m around 1 p.m. Click HERE for the lineup. Stolz personal best is 1:42.26. The track record is 1:40,17 set by Kjeld Nuis on March 10, 2019. Nuis is skating right before Stolz in this event.

Stolz will skate the 500m after 3 p.m.  Click HERE for the lineup. Stolz has a personal best time of 34.08 in the 500m. The track record was set March 9, 2019 at 33.61 and held by Pavel Kulizhnikov.

January 26, 2024 – A chilling performance at the Utah Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City, Utah on Friday afternoon as Jordan Stolz set a new world record in the 1000m.

Stolz finished in a record time of 1:05,37 crushing his previous time of 1:06,27. Interesting to note that prior to the race, Stolz’s coach Bob Corby predicted Stolz may have a 1:05 finish.

Stolz finished well ahead of second place silver medalist Zhongyan Ning of China; he crossed in 1:06,97. David Bosa of Italy placed third at 1:07,06.

Stolz not only set a new world record, he also set a National Record, Track Record, Personal Record, and Season Best.

January 26, 2024 – Kewaskum, WI – Jordan Stolz, 19, of Kewaskum, WI skates this weekend at the Utah Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City, UT. Stolz is coming off another record-setting performance from last week where he took the gold in the 1000 meter with a record time of 1.06,27.

January 21, 2024 – Kewaskum, WI – Local speedskating sensation Jordan Stolz has done it again. Competing at the Olympic Oval in Salt Lake City, UT, the 19-year-old Stolz took the gold medal in the 1,000 meter with a record-breaking time of 1.06,27.

Not only is that time a national record but also a personal record and season best for Stolz.

Stolz is the Four Continents Champion in the 1000m.

Coach Bob Corby noted, Stolz also beat Shani Davis’s record by .2 seconds.
