Fond du Lac County Deputies along with Campbellsport Fire Department, Campbellsport
Ambulance, Campbellsport First Responders, City of Fond du Lac Fire Department and Flight for Life Helicopter responded to the scene.

As emergency personnel arrived on scene, it was discovered the operator and sole occupant of the vehicle, was trapped inside. Crews were able to safely extricate the driver.

The driver, a 39-year-old Campbellsport woman was flown by Flight for Life from the scene to Froedtert Hospital with serious injuries.

Initial investigation indicates the vehicle was traveling north on County Highway BB as they
approached County Highway W. The driver began to leave the roadway prior to the curve,
traveling into the east ditch, striking a culvert. The vehicle became airborne, before rolling
several times, coming to rest in the roadway.

Failure to maintain control and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation by the Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office. The operator was arrested on suspicion of operating while intoxicated – first offense. County Highway W between Spring Drive and Rolling Drive was shut down for approximately 2 hours.

Further assisting on scene was the Wisconsin State Patrol.
