S.A.M.B.A. Chicken Dinner starts at 4 p.m. in Allenton | By Ron Naab

May 13, 2017 – Allenton, WI – The Eleventh Annual SAMBA Chicken Dinner intends to be an event of excitement and entertainment on Saturday, May 13.

The event starts at 4 p.m. serving chicken and “the fixins” until 8 p.m. in the Lions Pavilion in Allenton Veterans Memorial Park.

Officials with the Slinger Area Music Boosters Association fundraiser say nearly 700 tickets have been purchased for a ¼ chicken, mashed potatoes, corn and much more.

New this year entertainment by Slinger’s A Cappella Choirs starting at 6:30 p.m.

The groups will be performing songs like—Brown Eyed Girl, Rockin’ Robin, and Under the Boardwalk. These curricular choirs meet every school day with a goal to share their talents and music with the community.

Donna Gross, Raffle Prize Chair, said there will be a special raffle for a 50-inch TV donated by Property Loss Management of Barton.

In addition to live music there will be some very special “Live Auction Items” including a Green Bay Packer autographed football, three set of a 4-pack of Brewer tickets,  a special homemade “S” patchwork picnic blanket, four Bucks tickets (valued up to $510), and a variety of other items.

The public is invited to come enjoy the music and a lively auction featuring a local talent from the area.
