SAMBA 12th Annual Chicken Dinner benefiting Slinger High School Band | By Ron Naab

April 23, 2018 – Slinger, WI – On Saturday, May 19, 2018 the Slinger Area Music Booster Association (SAMBA) will be holding its 12th Annual Chicken Dinner at Veteran’s Memorial Park-Pavilion, in Allenton.

 

Chicken Dinner is SAMBA’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

 

Through this fundraiser, SAMBA is able to help all the middle and high school music programs at Slinger. Some of the ways SAMBA has helped include providing scholarships for summer music camp, purchasing new instruments for the band, covering busing costs, and awarding scholarships for two graduating seniors.

 

As part of the event there will be many student-musician ensemble presentations.  Starting at 4:30 p.m., the Middle School Select Choir will perform, followed by High School Pep Band, the High School Vocal Jazz and Men’s A Cappella and the Slinger High School Drumline will wrap up the evening.

Tickets are available on-line at sambachickendinner.weebly.com, from any Music Department parent, Romie’s BP in Allenton, Bergmann’s in Slinger of the Hartford Branch of Landmark Credit Union.  The adult meal is $10 or children’s meal [hot dog] is $5.

Tickets need to be purchased by May 4 in order to accommodate ordering of the correct amount food.
