Jackson, Wi – The Jackson Police Department just received a report of a male and female approaching people at a local business with a sob story about running out of gas and offering to give them jewelry in exchange for money. This is a scam.
The suspects were driving a black Mercedes with out of state license plates.
DO NOT fall for this. The jewelry is fake, it’s a well-known scam. If you’re approached, please call law enforcement. If it’s safe to do so, please take a photo of them and the license plate of the car they’re driving.
