Slinger Lady Owls top Homestead in a convincing win | By Ron Naab

January 19, 2021 – Slinger, WI – Slinger handed Homestead a loss Tuesday night as the Lady Owls stuck to their game plan and managed to redeem themselves following a narrow loss to the Highlanders in December.

Slinger started the game a little slower than Coach Tony Dobson preferred.  After a fruitful timeout to get the game plan in gear the Lady Owls took a lead and never looked back.

At the end of the half the Lady Owls led Homestead 27 to 20.

Slinger stayed focused and wrapped up another win, 52 to 41. The victory made up for the loss to Homestead by two points back in December.

Leading scorers for the Lady Owls were Kate Hosking with 15 and Kacey Ott with 10 and Mallory Hoitink finished with 9.  Homestead had two girls score 14 points each–Khendel Rolison and Delaney Buzzell.

Friday night the Lady Owls host the Hartford Orioles, JV game starts at 5:45 p.m. and varsity at 7:15 p.m.
