Slinger police track down stolen ATM money in Illinois

Slinger, WI – On August 30, 2024 in the early morning hours Slinger Police officers were dispatched to Westbury Bank, 1195 E. Commerce Blvd, for an alarm and upon arrival observed an ATM machine was broken into, and an undisclosed amount of cash was removed.

According to Slinger Police Chief Dean Schmidt with the assistance of the ATM surveillance video and intersection camera, authorities were able to gather pertinent information that was broadcast on the Wisconsin Crime Alert Network.

Troopers from the Illinois State Police stopped a vehicle allegedly involved in this incident in Illinois for a traffic infraction.  The matter remains under investigation at this time.
