West Spartan Varsity volleyball beats Whitefish Bay in last game of season | By Emmalee Heniadis, Kaite Steier

October 12, 2023 – West Bend, WI – This week the West Bend West Volleyball Varsity team played against Whitefish Bay and beat the Blue Dukes in three sets. It was Senior Night and West Bend West’s last conference game of the season and ended with a big win.

The first game ended with a winning score of 25-15 and the second ended with a victorious score of 25-11. In the third set, we continued playing hard to win 25–15.

West’s outside hitter, #4 Lindsay Sandleback, also stood with amazing hustle in the front and back row. She had 11 kills throughout the entire match.

West’s right-side hitter #11 Clara Corbett had 8 kills, especially taking that advantage and hitting line. Even though the Blue Dukes were getting good touches on tips, Clara still found the open spots.

West’s Middle #9 Maria Olson had amazing blocks and kills throughout the entire match with 2 kills. She also led the team with her positive self and celebrated every point.

West’s middle #8 Abby Stockhausen had a total of 2 aces. She also was very smart by killing the Dukes on her sneaky tips.

Kylee Altendorf led the team with 16 kills and 18 digs; Maddie Abel added 39 assists and Emy Miller had 15 digs.

The Lady Spartans ended the regular season 6 – 3. They now head into the Regional play hosting Sheboygan North on Thursday, October 19, 2023, with a 7:00 a.m. start time.
