Sept. 11, 2018 – Washington Co., WI – On Sunday the Washington County Trail Sharks had their first mountain bike race of the season.  After surviving the many trails that have been closed due to flooding, the team was able to race at Minooka Park in Waukesha.
The weather was perfect and the trails were dry, as 625 mountain bikers raced (which doubled from last year).
Mountain biking has races from one lap (6 miles) to four laps depending on the age of the athlete.
The Trail Sharks brought the most athletes ever raced, which was 19.  Everyone’s performance was great!
Anja Lanser and Kendra Schmitt brought home a leaders’ jersey and will be ready to race in Mt. Morris this weekend.
