November 14, 2021 – West Bend, WI – The property, 1800 Barton Avenue, home to Long Branch Saloon is for sale.
A sign was posted over the weekend. The parcel is owned by Boro Buzdum.
He purchased it Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 for $100,000.
It was June 2019 when the property was listed for sale by Adam Williquette, owner of American Commercial Real Estate. At that time the price was $425,000.
Buzdum now is asking $575,000 for the property.
Just to be clear – the building is separate from the business.
Over the past few years Buzdum has made improvements to the building.
Questioned whether the saloon would remain open Buzdum said, “If you’d like to give them a lease, yes.”
The owner of the business, Becky Downer Buzdum wrote, “I don’t want anybody to start spreading rumors. The business is not going anywhere. My landlord just wants to sell the building & as you can see from his asking price he’s a little out of the ballpark, so I’m just going to continue to lease. That’s just the price of the building. The business is not for sale.”
I’m sure it would be worth at least $ 600,000.00 if only they would put some flowers out in front and a few lights shining on it.
That place will never ever be the same after Mark Jug(RIP) had it.
