October 18, 2023 – Dodge Co., WI – On October 17, 2023, Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division executed a search warrant in the City of Juneau, WI. The basis of this search warrant was a tip that the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in reference to an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation.
As a result of the tip and a subsequent investigation, Daniel A. Uttech, 62, of Juneau, was booked into the Dodge County Jail and the sheriff’s office has requested charges of 10 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, a Class D Felony. Daniel A. Uttech had his initial court appearance on October 18th, 2023. He is currently being held on a $5,000 cash bond but as in all cases, all persons are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is leading this investigation and was assisted at the scene by the Juneau Police Department and the Wisconsin Department of Criminal Investigations Digital Forensics Unit.
