Two people injured in morning rollover in Town of Kewaskum

April 21, 2018 – Town of Kewaskum, WI – On April 21, 2018 at approximately 4:41 a.m. the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single vehicle roll over crash with injuries, in the Town of Kewaskum, on County Highway H east of Townline Road.

The Sheriff’s Office requested the assistance of the Kewaskum Police Department, and upon their arrival it was learned that one of the occupants had been ejected.

The Kewaskum Fire Department was paged and arrived a short time later requesting a paramedic intercept from the West Bend Fire Department. Due to the injuries the passenger sustained in the crash, Flight for Life was requested to respond to the scene. The passenger, a 32-year-old male from the Village of Kewaskum was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee with nonlife threatening injuries.

The driver, a 39-year-old female from the Town of Barton was taken to a local hospital with nonlife threatening injuries.

The investigation revealed the vehicle was east bound when the driver attempted to avoid an animal in the roadway. The vehicle then left the road, reentered the roadway and began to roll, coming to rest in the south ditch on its roof. County Highway H was closed to traffic for approximately 90 minutes to assist in rescue efforts and the landing of Flight for Life.

Alcohol does not appear to be a contributing factor, and the accident remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
