November 30, 2023 – Two students from Hartford Union High School were taken by ambulance to Hartford Hospital just after 7 a.m. after being struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Cedar Street and Monroe Avenue.
According to Hartford City Administrator Steve Volkert the two girls were in the crosswalk and the vehicle was approaching to turn into the parking lot.

Everyone involved stayed on scene.
That intersection is a 4-way stop. It is not known if there was a crossing guard at that intersection.
There’s no information on the severity of injuries.
This is a working story and more information will be posted when details are available.
