April 16, 2026 – Town of Jackson, Wi – On April 15, 2026 at approximately 10:12 pm, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a potential house fire at a single family residence in the 3700 block of Division Road in the Town of Jackson.

Deputies with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene along with the Jackson Fire Department.
Neighbors reported hearing a loud boom in the area. They later observed smoke and flames from the residence.
A neighbor responded with a fire extinguisher and was able to get some of the fire extinguished. The fire had already spread through the interior of the residence.
The residence was unoccupied at the time. Initial investigation indicates the fire was started by a lightning strike.
Initial estimate of loss to the residence and vehicle was $335,000. Highway 60 was closed for approximately two and a half hours and Division Road was closed for approximately three and a half hours.
The Jackson Fire Department was assisted by the Germantown, Newburg, Slinger, West Bend, St. Lawrence, Richfield, Fillmore, Kewaskum, Allenton, and Lifestar Ambulance.
April 15, 2026 – Jackson, WI – Jackson Fire Department is reportedly on scene of a structure on Ridgeway Court that was struck by lightning. The call came in after 10 p.m. Wednesday evening.

Ridgeway Court is just to the north of Highway 60, almost across the road from the Jackson Fire Department.
Fire crews were assisted by the Allenton Fire Department.
Earlier in the evening the Jackson Fire Department responded to a fire at a single family home on the corner of Highway 60 and Division Road. Assisting on scene were fire departments from Richfield, Fillmore, Kewaskum, Hartford, Southern Ozaukee and Central Ozaukee and Life Star.
