West Bend, WI – There were long lines Saturday morning at the Murphy & Prachthauser booth as parents, grandparents, and kids gathered to pick up free life jackets. It’s the fourth year the local law firm has sponsored the effort to enhance summer safety.
Members of the National Guard and Department of Natural Resources were on hand to properly fit the life jackets.

The American Red Cross says “deaths from drowning are preventable tragedies that can affect anyone in, on or around the water. Wearing a life jacket is a simple life-saving technique and more people need know when to wear and how to choose a life jacket.”
