April 8, 2026 – West Bend, Wi – The flagpole was saved, the landmark Omicron sign was shattered and the building will be razed today as the final stages of life of Omicron Family Restaurant are removed.
A contractor in an excavator pulled out bushes and landscaping on Tuesday. A local business visited the site early to rescue and reuse the rooftop air conditioners.
Contractors will spend the next week picking apart the building to make way for a second Culvers in West Bend, Wi.
On Thursday, April 9, 2026, the West Bend plan commission will meet to review a proposal to level Jumbo’s Frozen Custard on S. Main Street to make way for a Tsunami Express Car Wash.
