Town of Trenton, WI – It’s not quite finished but West Bend Lakes Golf Club is prepping to unveil its new clubhouse, 1241 Highway 33, in the coming weeks. Owner Lee Merkel spent time recently providing an interior tour as the carpet is now in place, refrigeration system, the bar is taking shape and the Pro Shop is nearly complete.
The clubhouse is designed and built by American Construction Services.
Gone are the multiple levels of the old farmhouse that once served as the gathering place following a round of golf. Inside the building is bright with walls of windows overlooking the green fairways.
There’s dining space for 75 guests. A large bar that will feature 16 craft beers on tap. There’s a top-notch kitchen, a pro shop and a wrap-around porch with white columns, ceiling fans and southern charm.
The cherry on the top of the clubhouse design is a magnificent clock atop the facility. The clock faces south and will greet golfers as they finish their round for the day.

“We’re going to put a sign underneath the clock tower that says ‘It’s 5 o’clock somewhere,'” said Merkel. “This is just going to be a really nice place to relax, have a drink or come for supper.”

The new clubhouse was needed following a devastating fire Sunday, May 14, 2021 that leveled an old Trenton farmhouse that served as the clubhouse for 28 years.
West Bend Lakes is part of the Traditions Golf family of courses.
West Bend Lakes Golf Club has been open for business during construction. A grand opening is expected within the next month.
