WBW varsity volleyball takes 3rd in Conference | By Caitlin Wohlt

October 13, 2021 – West Bend, WI – The West Bend West Spartans won a tough match against the Nicolet Knights on Tuesday. It was the  Spartans last North Shore Conference game of the regular season and it took them five games to win 19 – 25, 25 – 18, 14 – 25, 25 – 18, 15 – 9.

The Spartans had a slow start to the night losing the first set, but came back and won the second set and ended up with an overall victory.

It was a very important win for the Spartans as it finished in 3rd place in the North Shore Conference.

Leading the way for the Spartans were Rory Griffin with 10 kills, and two ace serves.  Kylee Altendorf and Lindsay Sadleback each had 9 kills.  Kylee also added 4 ace serves and 9 digs.  Kelsey Corbett had 18 assists and 4 ace serves.

The Spartans will be playing Sheboygan North at Sheboygan North on Thursday October 21 at 7:00 p.m. in the first round of the Regionals.
