Washington Co. outdoor groups invited to EHD informational meeting Sept. 17, 2026 in West Bend, Wi

West Bend, Wi – Washington County sporting groups, outdoor clubs and outdoor enthusiasts are invited to an informational meeting Thursday, September 17, focused on Epizootic Hemorrhagic Disease (EHD) and its impact on the local deer herd.

The meeting, organized by Washington County delegates to the Wisconsin Conservation Congress and the Washington County Deer Advisory Council, begins at 6:30 p.m. at the West Bend Moose Lodge, 1721 Chestnut Street, West Bend, Wi.

Updates will be provided by representatives of the Wisconsin Conservation Congress, Wildlife Biologist Steffen Peterson and Wisconsin Deer Herd Health Specialist Erin Larson.

The meeting will provide an update on EHD in the Washington County area and give attendees an opportunity to learn more about the disease and deer herd health.

Local sporting clubs and outdoor organizations will also have three minutes to introduce their group and promote upcoming events.

The speakers are subject to change.

The meeting is free and open to the public.
