Washington Co. Sheriff’s arrest 3 after finding drugs, guns and body armor in vehicle in Village of Germantown

Jan. 31, 2017 – The Washington County Sheriff’s Office took three people into custody on a variety of weapon and drug charges as a result of a traffic stop on I41 this past Friday, Jan. 27 at 8:37 p.m. 

The deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle that was operated without tail lights on I41 near Mequon Road in the Village of Germantown. 

Upon making contact with the driver, identified as a 29-year-old Milwaukee man, and two passengers, both 20-year-old Appleton men, the deputy noted the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle.   The driver was removed from the vehicle, and after attempting to get back into the car the other two passengers were then removed.

A subsequent search located a small amount of marijuana, two guns and body armor inside the vehicle.  All three subjects were arrested for charges ranging from an outstanding arrest warrant, possession of marijuana, felon in possession of a weapon and felon in possession of body armor.

Follow-up continues on the case.
