Students from Germantown, Hartford, and West Bend compete at 2022 State SkillsUSA

March 17, 2022 – Washington County, WI – Students from Germantown, Hartford Union, and West Bend High Schools will be participating in the 49th annual SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference in Madison, WI on Tuesday, April 5 and Wednesday, April 6, 2022.

There will be more than 1,800 middle and high school students, over 200 teachers, and more than 300 industry volunteers working in more than 80 competitions. Students will work against the clock and each other as they prepare for careers in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations.

SkillsUSA Wisconsin, with more than 2,500 members in over 180 chapters, is a partnership of students, teachers, and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. The diverse talent pipeline covers 130 trades, technical, and skilled service occupations, the majority science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) related.
