WBBA fundraising goal exceeds expectations

May 1, 2021 – West Bend, WI – The baseball community in West Bend stepped up to the plate and hit a recent fundraiser out of the park as  $25,000 matching challenge grant exceeded its goal.

“As of 3 p.m. Friday we have reached our $25,000 grant.  As of this moment we have raised $28,029 since the fund drive started,” said Craig Larsen with the West Bend Baseball Association.
“Which in turn means $53,029 raised.”

The WBBA is chipping away at a plan to raise $2.1 million to complete the project which would include a new grandstand, turf infield and press box.

Larsen provided a peek at construction of the press box which is nearly complete.

The press box is being constructed at a facility in Green Bay.
Plans are to finish the upgrade at Carl M. Kuss Memorial Field for the 2022 season.
