WBW varsity takes 3 from Indians | By Emmalee Heniadis

September 10, 2025West Bend, WI – The West Bend West varsity volleyball team played an amazing game against the Kewaskum Indians, getting a victory in 3 sets.

The Spartans matched up with the Kewaskum Indians on Tuesday night with a home series. The West Bend Spartans came out strong in the first set winning 25-12. Senior setter, Morgan Winkler, ran an amazing offense and served very strategically.

 

The second set’s score was 25-16. Senior libero, Emy Miller, covered the whole floor, getting up balls all over the place. Senior pin hitter, Laila Hertel, was also hitting amazing from all around the court.

The last set the Spartans took it home with a score of 25-12.

The team had some great hustle, and good serving runs this match.  Leading the way was Emmalee Heniadis with 12 kills and 4 ace serves, followed by Laila Hertel with 7 kills and Nora Cybell with 6 kills.  Emy Miller had 15 digs and 4 ace serves, Morgan Winkler had 14 digs and 19 assists.

 

West is now 1-1 in the Glacier Trails Conference. The Spartans will travel to Kettle Moraine Lutheran this weekend to participate in KML Varsity Classic VB Invitational on September 13. The next Conference match is Tuesday, September 16 at Plymouth with a start time of 7 p.m.
