Nov. 27, 2016 – West Bend, WI – Lucky Mutts Rescue is the official winner of the Marv Husar Spirit Award for the 2016 West Bend Christmas Parade. Lucky Mutts was chosen because it had the most Christmas Spirit. As a reward they received a $500 donation on behalf of Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds, along with a trophy for bragging rights.
The Spirit Award was created by Mike Husar and Mary Husar Martin as a way to keep the memory of Marvin Husar alive. Marv Husar started the West Bend Christmas Parade 64 years ago. Marv Husar died in 2010; he was 83.
