West Bend East wrestling has strong performance at Grafton Invite By Allie Boettcher

Jan. 28, 2017 – West Bend, WI – West Bend East wrestling competed at the Grafton Invitational tournament on Saturday and the Suns East the tournament at 3-2.

Elkhart Lake beat East 48-33. East beat Racine 39-30. East beat Grafton 39-30. Ashwaubenon beat East 48-22. East beat Homestead 39-15.

East’s Cayden Henschel went 3-2 pinning Elkhart Lake’s Cody Nelson in 4:20.

Henschel beat Racine’s Tim Bothan 22-7.

East’s Dan Ciriacks went 4-1. Ciriacks beat Grafton’s Nathan Styles by fall in 56 seconds. Ciriacks pinned Homestead’s Messi Elgin in 2:48.

East’s Damian Zapata went 5-0. Zapata beat Elkhart Lake’s Cody Behnke 8-0. Zapata beat Racine’s Josiah Aguilar by sudden victory 8-6.

Bryce Henschel went 5-0 and pinned Grafton’s Jonathan Duran in 5:43. Henschel beat Homestead’s Conor Coyne by fall in 1:49.

East’s Cooper Schlosser went 5-0 and pinned Elkhart Lake’s Ben Meiselwitz in 5:47. Schlosser beat Grafton’s Zach Laliberte by fall in 36 seconds.

East’s Cody Hughes went 4-1 and pinned Homestead’s Trevor Shahrokhi in 3:24. Hughes beat Ashwaubenon’s Jack Snyder by fall in 1:11.

East’s Evan Smith went 3-2 pinning Racine’s Clayton McGinnis in 1:04.

East’s Jason Myrick went 3-2 pinning Grafton’s Connor Ramsey in 4:24. Myrick pinned Racine’s Jay Schelmiline in 1:20.
