SEXUAL ASSAULT / BATTERY / STRANGULATION –Â 1400 Block of Park Avenue
On Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 1:47 AM, West Bend Police officers responded to a residence to investigate a disturbance. Investigating officers located a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman who reported she had met a man on an internet dating site and the man strangled and sexually assaulted her while she was at the residence. The 28-year-old West Bend man was arrested and placed in jail on charges of 2nd Degree Sexual Assault – Use of Force, Battery, and Strangulation.
The West Bend Police Department made the following five arrests for OWI on Sunday, April 2 and Monday, April 3.
700 Block of South Main Street
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 1:43 AM, a West Bend police officer stopped a vehicle for an equipment violation and observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The 23 Year old Menomonee Falls woman failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .187% into a PBT, and was arrested for OWI.
2100 Block of Barton Avenue
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 2:15 AM, a West Bend police officer observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the traffic lane. The officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The West Bend woman, 48, failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .134% into a PBT, and was arrested for OWI – 3rd Offense.
500 Block of South Main Street
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 2:27 AM, a West Bend police officer observed a vehicle make several improper turns and driving with the trunk open. The officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The Ohio man, 30, failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .125% into a PBT, and was arrested for OWI.
600 Block of South 17th Avenue
On Sunday, April 2, 2017, at 3:54 PM, a citizen reported a vehicle striking a tree and when the driver exited the vehicle she fell to the ground. Investigating officers located the vehicle and driver at the scene. The officers observed signs the driver was under the influence of drugs. The West Bend woman, 45, failed the standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI – Restricted Controlled Substance.
700 Block of West Washington Street
On Monday, April 3, 2017, at 3:53 AM, a West Bend police officer observed a vehicle strike a street sign and attempt to leave the scene of the crash. The officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs the driver was under the influence of drugs. The West Bend man, 28, Â failed the standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI. The man was also charged with Possession of Narcotic Drugs, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia after Heroin and other illegal drugs were found in the vehicle.
