West Bend Police catch prowlers and 4 people tagged for OWI

March 6, 2017 – West Bend, WI – PROWLING – 100 Block of North Main Street
On Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 5:38 AM, West Bend police officers responded to the 100 block of North Main Street to investigate a report of two males dressed in dark clothing attempting to enter parked vehicles. The two males ran when they observed the officers approaching. Investigating officers pursued and caught both males a short distance away. A West Bend man, 31, was arrested for Prowling and a probation violation, as he is currently on Probation through the Department of Corrections for Drug Possession. A West Bend man, 35,  was arrested for prowling. The man was also arrested for Operating Motor Vehicle without Owner’s Consent for his involvement in a motor vehicle theft that occurred on February 24, 2017.

 

The West Bend Police Department made the following four arrests for OWI during the weekend of Friday, March 3 through Sunday, March 5.

200 Block of Roosevelt Drive- On Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 3:07 AM, a West Bend police officer observed a vehicle fail to stop for a stop sign. The officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs the driver was intoxicated. The 20 year old Campbellsport man failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .101% in a PBT, and was arrested for OWI. A 20 year old male passenger had been drinking and was arrested for Underage Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages.

600 Block of North Main Street – On Saturday, March 4, 2017, at 7:45 PM, West Bend police officers responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the 600 block of North Main Street. Investigating officers determined that a northbound vehicle crossed over into oncoming traffic and struck another vehicle. The officer observed signs the driver the vehicle that crossed over the center line was under the influence of prescription medications. The 32 year old West Bend woman failed the standardized field sobriety tests and was arrested for OWI. There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

700 Block of West Decorah Road – On Sunday, March 5, 2017, at 1:12 AM, a West Bend police officer observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the traffic lane. The officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs that the driver was intoxicated. The 69 year old West Bend man failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .189% in a PBT, and was arrested for OWI.

500 Block of Wildwood Road – On Sunday, March 5, 2017, at 2:07 AM, a West Bend police officer observed a vehicle swerving in and out of the traffic lane. The officer stopped the vehicle and observed signs that the driver was intoxicated. The 37 year old West Bend man failed the standardized field sobriety tests, blew a .159% in a PBT, and was arrested for OWI.
