October 12, 2025 – West Bend, Wi – West Bend West JV2 Volleyball team takes down the Hartford Orioles.
In the first set, the Spartans started slow, but with great passes and strong kills they pulled out the win. For the second set the Spartans started with much more energy and powerful serves, defeating the Orioles.
In the third and final set, it was a close game, with long rallies, but the Spartans ultimately pushed for the win. All three sets were close, and the sets tough, but the Spartans used their phenomenal skills to win all three 25 – 20, 25 – 19, 25 – 16.
Sophomor Madison Nornberg said the team needs to work on coverage. “When both our team and the opposing team is hitting, passers must be ready and in the right place to get the ball up,” she said. “The team did have high energy and excitement throughout the game as well, especially after great kills.”
The Spartans are 5 – 0 in the Glacier Trails Conference. Their next match is Tuesday, October 14 against Kettle Moraine Lutheran.
