West Bend West Varsity volleyball sweeps Hartford | By Maria Olson and Lindsay Sandleback

September 13, 2023 – West Bend, WI –  The Spartans Varsity volleyball team swept the Hartford Orioles on Tuesday night to improve to 3-0 in the North Shore Conference.

After a back-and-forth battle in the first set the Spartans came back stronger in the second and third sets to secure the match win over the Oriole with scores of 25 – 18, 25 – 17, 25 – 16.
A combined team effort, the Spartans focused on making quality plays and not letting the opposing team make a run of points.
The team was led by Kylee Altendorf with 13 kills, 3 ace serves, and 8 digs, Emy Miller had a great defensive match with 20 digs, followed by Lindsay Sandleback with 13 and Paige Guse with 11 digs respectively.  Maddie Abel had 25 assists.
The Spartans next conference match will be in Port Washington on Tuesday, September 19 with a start time of 7 p.m.
