August 25, 2022 – West Bend, Wi – The white bridge on the south side of the Milwaukee River took a trip up Highway 33 today as it was removed for construction along the riverwalk.
The bridge is now on the north side of Highway 33 at West Bend Sand and Gravel just west of the storage sheds and east of the entrance to the gravel pit.

It was July 25, 2018 when the old steel bridge that spanned the south end over the Milwaukee River was removed. Quite a few neighbors took some time to take one last walk over the wooden planks which date to the 1900s.
