WIS 167 improvement project begins June 9, 2025, in Ozaukee County, WI

Ozaukee Co., Wi – Work is scheduled to begin next week, June 9, 2025, on a $3.48 million improvement project along WIS 167 (Mequon Road), between Wasaukee Road and Buntrock Avenue in Ozaukee County.   Work is scheduled to begin June 9.

Improvements Include:

  • Resurface WIS 167 (Mequon Road) between Wasaukee Road and Solar Avenue
  • Base patch and diamond grind WIS 167 (Mequon Road) between Solar Avenue and Buntrock Avenue
  • Repair cross culverts, drainage structures, and curb ramps
  • Construct new sidewalk on north side of WIS 167 (Mequon Road) between Swan Road and WIS 181 (Wauwatosa Road)
  • Upgrade traffic signal equipment at Wasaukee Road and Granville Road

Traffic Impacts:

During construction, WIS 167 (Mequon Road) will be closed to through traffic. The posted detour will utilize WIS 57 (Cedarburg Road/Green Bay Road), WIS 100 (Brown Deer Road), and WIS 145 (Fond Du Lac Avenue).

Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained.

Schedule:

Through traffic is scheduled to be restored in late summer 2025 with project completion scheduled for late fall 2025. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
