A 46-year-old West Bend woman was taken into custody for her third OWI after she drove into a garage at 4:45 p.m. Friday afternoon.
The accident happened in the 500 block of S. Highlandview Drive, just north of Oak Street and down the hill from the playground at McLane Elementary School.
Neighbors said they saw the woman’s vehicle sitting on Oak Street for a while.
She then turned from Oak Street onto Highlandview Drive. Neighbors said she was attempting to enter a driveway and kept missing.
The home owner said her “kids were in the driveway literally minutes before it happened as we piled into the car to go to piano lessons.”
Nobody was home at the time of the accident.
Police said no one was injured.
