The D.A.R.E. program was designed to help educate students on the importance of making positive choices regarding substance abuse. In recent years, the program has also grown to cover the issue of bullying and what students can do to aid the victims of bullies and avoid being victims themselves.

The D.A.R.E. program was taught by Deputy Niehus, a veteran of the Washington County Sheriff Department. Guest speakers included former West Bend Mayor Mr. Kraig Sadownikow, Sheriff Dale Schmidt, and ADA Mandy Schepper.

Student essays were presented by Jack Kohnen, Kaitlyn Wendelborn, Melanie Sopkowicz, Andreis Reinheimer, and Abigail Glaszcz.

The D.A.R.E. awards went to the following students: Kaedan Altendorf and Shaelyn Hagel (Role Models); Zach Fechter and Madeline Klausmeier (Effort)
